From Jaroměřice to The Rokytná Valley

Jaroměřice, Příštpo, Rozkoš, Biskupice - Pulkov, Radkovice, Myslibořice, Jaroměřice
Length of the route: 29 km. In Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou there is a starting point of a cycling trip, which takes you through the picturesque corners of the Rokytná Nature Park. In Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou we must not forget to visit the beautiful baroque chateau with the church of St. Margret and the monument of the poet Otokar Březina. Behind Jaroměřice, we you will pass around Královec quarry, where the durbachites and granites of the Třebíč massif were mined until recently. Along the river Rokytná, surrounded by old bank vegetation with erous rocks, you will get to the village of Příštpo where the in the river valley there are many endangered plant and animal species. If you are lucky, you will see the river crayfish or the kingfisher. You cross through the quiet woodlands of the Rokytná Nature Park into Rozkoš and pass along the village square chapel with a bell tower, where the Holy Trinity Column stands, continue along the boundary of the park toward Biskupice - Pulkov. The not so frequented road will lead you through the village with the statue of St. John of Nepomuk at the bridge over the river Rokytná and the 14th century church of St. Martin. In the former school there is a colony of a protected big bat. Behind the village at the Pulkov turning you will pass the chapel dedicated to St. John of Nepomuk and continue to Radkovice. Behind the walls of the cemetery with stone statues of saints there is the Church of the Fourteen Saints Helpers from 1715. From here it is only a short way to Myslibořice. Before this village you can have a swim in the pond of Hrušovec. The village is dominated by the 18 th century Baroque chateau with a modified, publicly accessible park. Near the chateau there is the church of St. Luke. We will end the trip in Jaroměřice, where on hot days we will appreciate the modern swimming pool and its facilities.
